The sixth and seventh floors of residential building burn in Baku at Zardabi street in Yasamal district near the "Three crowns" restaurant, Trend News correspondent reports from the scene.
Yet no information is reported on victims. The causes of fire are being investigated. According to initial data, household gas exploded at the house. Five fire cars and two ambulances arrived on scene.
According to witnesses, an electrical shield blew up between the floors, which prevented people from falling from the upper floors. Now officers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are evacuating people from upper floors.
Fire has been liquidated. Officers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are working on the scene.
According to initial reports, the fire started because of a short circuit in one of the apartments, where repair was carried out, a source at the Yasamal district police department told Trend News.
Trend News correspondent reports from the scene that the officers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations completed work at the building and all the people were evacuated.
According to him, no-one was affected by the fires. Some people got little carbon monoxide poisoning.
